The Waldron Area Chamber of Commerce held its Quarterly Business After Hours event on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at The Springs of Waldron. Attendees enjoyed refreshments, light snacks, and valuable networking with other members, along with an insightful presentation from The Springs team.

The Springs of Waldron, now under new management following an ownership change in August 2024, is experiencing a powerful comeback. After facing the real possibility of closure, the buyout marked a major turning point — breathing new life into the facility and its mission. Since then, nearly everything has been refreshed, revitalized, and reimagined, from services to care philosophy, making this transformation something truly worth celebrating.

The Springs is a 24-hour extended care facility focused on one goal: providing the kind of care we would expect our own loved ones to receive. Their services include nursing home care, rehabilitation, dialysis, dementia support, and overnight stays — all managed in-house by a dedicated medical team including a doctor, nurse, and psychologist. They accept managed care plans such as Aetna and Humana, setting them apart from many other providers in the region.

Through their Renewal at the Springs program, the facility offers personalized physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and a daily therapy program tailored to individual needs. Services also include pain management, home transition planning, and education for independence and safety.
Their Thrive at the Springs initiative focuses on creating a happy, engaging space for long-term care residents, complete with a variety of activities and social programs designed to uplift and enrich daily life.

Additionally, Telemedicine at the Springs offers rapid, bedside access to physicians — reducing unnecessary ER trips and ensuring prompt care when needed. This service extends oversight and enhances peace of mind for both patients and families.

As Morena from The Springs shared, the facility often serves as a natural next step after assisted living. With room for up to 90 residents and approximately 65 currently served, The Springs of Waldron is steadily growing and redefining its place in the local care landscape.

We thank The Springs of Waldron for opening their doors, sharing their journey, and showing us the incredible comeback they’re making — one patient, one day at a time.
